phil robertsonfather of five, outspoken follower of Christ, and church patriarch duck commanderhas not appeared on the “Unshamed” podcast in recent weeks due to illness.
“Phil's not feeling well,” Jace says.
“Doctors believe he has some type of blood disease that is causing all sorts of problems.”
“It's accelerating, it's causing problems throughout his body, he's in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease, so when you put that together it means he's not doing well. He's really suffering. ” he added.
“He keeps saying, 'I'm going back to the podcast,' and I'm like, 'Phil, you can barely walk around without crying out in pain.' Your memories are what they used to be. “No,” Jace says.
“He misses it,” Al says.
“Some days he'll be a little better, he can be with you a little more. Other days not so much.”
“We're trying a lot of things, including 'doctor sessions' to figure out how we can make him more comfortable and maybe help his memory, but we're trying to figure out how we can make him more comfortable and maybe help his memory,” It's beyond the scope of some supernatural intervention. Don't doubt it… we can't cure his illness,” Jace says bluntly.
Phil recently went duck hunting with his sons on the opening day, but “didn't fire a shot or say much.”
He told Jace that he would call him when he was ready to resume hunting, but that day has not come yet.
“If he can't go duck hunting, that tells you most of what you need to know,” Jace says.
“If he were here, what would he say? 'Folks, as the end approaches, the resurrection looms large,'” Al says, adding that while Phil may not be on the podcast set, ” He pointed out that Phil's chair was. I'll always be there. ”
