In a recent episode of his podcast, Joe Rogan took aim at FBI director Kash Patel, criticizing him for his inconsistent statements regarding Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender.
“He’s claiming there’s no tape, no video. That just doesn’t add up. I mean, everyone knows it’s off,” Rogan stated while chatting with former CIA executive Mike Baker.
This conversation followed Patel’s appearance on Rogan’s podcast in June, prior to the release of documents that triggered significant controversy. Since then, Patel has promised that additional information relating to Epstein will soon be made public.
“I mentioned this before, and Dan Bongino also pointed it out. We’re reviewing all the data and doing our best to provide what we can to the public,” Patel shared with Rogan.
Patel has strongly refuted claims from both the FBI and the Justice Department, which released a memo in early July stating Epstein’s death was ruled a suicide and there was no evidence supporting claims of any high-profile threats.
Despite the Trump administration’s failure to release a significant court transcript connected to Epstein, they did provide various photos and numerous hours of video that had been reviewed.
During his June podcast appearance, Patel was somewhat evasive when questioned about whether the government possessed any videos from Epstein’s island, which has been implicated in sex trafficking activities.
“Are there any videos from the island?” Rogan asked.
“It’s not what you think,” Patel responded.
This episode aired on Friday, and Rogan remarked that the whole situation surrounding Epstein feels utterly “bizarre” to him.
“The Epstein case is so wild because Kash Patel was there, yet he keeps claiming there’s nothing. Didn’t he have anything to offer? Honestly, I was at a loss for words,” Rogan added.
In recent weeks, media outlets have scrutinized Trump’s connections to Epstein from the early 2000s, with Trump adamantly denying any wrongdoing. On the same day, the Justice Department conducted an interview with Ghislaine Maxwell, a close associate of Epstein who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence.
