Tragic News Surrounds Former NFL Player Rondale Moore

Marquise “Hollywood” Brown shared that he had spoken with Rondale Moore just hours before his former teammate’s tragic passing in Indiana on Saturday.

According to New Albany Police Chief Todd Bailey, the 25-year-old Moore was discovered in a garage with what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Tributes have been flooding in from across the NFL, with Brown expressing his sorrow and sharing details of his last communication with Moore on social media.

Reflecting on their friendship, Brown wrote, “Nii-san didn’t expect it, you just sent me a message. Hours ago,” pointing to how close they felt at that moment. He added, “You weren’t alone, brother. I understand how you feel.”

The two had been teammates in Arizona during the 2022 and 2023 seasons. Unfortunately, Moore was sidelined for the current season with the Vikings due to a knee injury he sustained in preseason.

At 28, Brown also posted a screenshot of a message he had exchanged with Moore back in August, focusing on support during tough times. “Praying for my brother,” Brown wrote. “Life can be frustrating, and sometimes things don’t go as planned. We must remember that God is in control, and His plan always prevails. There are folks out there who have it worse.”

He further reassured Moore, “If you ever want to talk, I’m here, brother. I know this sucks, but I know you. Don’t give up.”

Brown also took to Instagram, addressing the misconception that wealth equates to a lack of struggles. “People think that if you have money, you don’t face problems. It’s odd to me… I’ve shared this with my closest friends because my siblings and I are all dealing with similar challenges. It’s crazy how real this becomes when someone is gone,” he wrote.

Beyond the NFL, many people have expressed their disbelief and sorrow over Moore’s death. Former Cardinals teammate J.J. Watt took to X to voice his shock: “I can’t understand or process this. There’s no way. It’s too soon. Rondale still had so much to give. Rest in peace.”
