FBI Director Discusses Discovery at Hoover Building
During a segment on FNC’s “Hornity,” FBI Director Kash Patel discussed the discovery of mysterious “burning bags” and hard drives at the J. Edgar Hoover Building, the FBI’s main office.
Host Sean Hannity opened the conversation by noting Patel’s extensive knowledge on the issue, stemming from his work with Devin Nunes, where he served as chief of staff. He asked Patel if he was surprised to learn about the existence of the burn room.
Patel expressed his astonishment, saying, “Sean, I was completely taken aback. Unfortunately, if corrupt officials from my past continue to wield law enforcement like they did with the FBI, we might end up with what we’re witnessing now. When we returned to the House of Representatives and looked into FISA abuse and political corruption, I thought we nearly uncovered everything.”
He added, “But we ended up finding a locked room in the Hoover building that contained these burning bags. Just for your audience, a burn bag is a special government bag made for destroying classified documents by shredding and incinerating them. So, the burn bag wasn’t the only item we discovered there.”
Patel went on to say, “As our distinguished attorney general indicated, we can’t confirm or deny what we’re seeing, but we can discuss what we’ve made public. These documents are available because they play a crucial role in informing the American people about transparency and accountability initiatives under President Trump. The first step is to clean up the issues within the Hoover walls.”
