Rory McIlroy’s estranged wife, Erica Stoll, was served with divorce papers by a private investigator on May 13 at her family home in the Bears Club, a private development in Jupiter, Florida, according to court documents obtained by an Irish newspaper. Belfast Telegraph.
McIlroy filed for divorce from his wife of seven years, claiming their marriage was “irretrievably broken.” The documents said the couple had a prenuptial agreement.
Stoll is a former Palm Beach police officer and currently I run a private clinic.According to the summons, the defendant appeared in court at 10:30 a.m. on May 13th at CW Services & Associates, a company that provides services to the legal profession.

In it, Woods describes Stoll as white, blonde, in her 30s, thin and between 5’7″ and 5’8″. She did not wear glasses.
According to court records, McIlroy signed the divorce papers digitally on May 9 after playing and winning the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow in North Carolina.
Woods, 35, a Northern Irishman, filed the papers in Palm Beach County Court through lawyer Thomas Sasser, who represented Tiger Woods in his high-profile divorce from Elin Nordegren in 2010.
According to the documents, Stoll has 20 days from the date he receives the complaint to file a written response to McIlroy’s complaint with the circuit court clerk.
“Telephone communications will not protect you,” the summons states. “If you want the Court to hear your side of the story, you must submit a written response including the case number and names of the parties listed above.”
“Failure to file a timely answer can result in losing your case, which can then subject your wages, money and property to garnishment by the court without warning.
“There are other legal requirements. You may want to call a lawyer straight away. If you don’t know any lawyers, call a lawyer referral service or legal aid office (listed in the telephone directory).”

Stoll had not yet responded to McIlroy’s divorce filing as of May 26, when the report was published.
McIlroy and Stoll are seeking joint custody of their daughter Poppy, who was born in August 2020 and is now 3-years-old, McIlroy’s divorce filing states.
A week after the split was made public, the Daily Mail reported that McIlroy and CBS reporter Amanda Balionis were “the talk of the town” on the PGA Tour and that there were rumors of a romance between the two.
The couple are yet to respond to the reports.
McIlroy’s camp released a statement at the time saying it “emphasized Rory’s desire to navigate this difficult time as respectfully and amicably as possible.”
He added that his team would not be commenting further on the matter.
McIlroy is scheduled to compete this week in the RBC Canadian Open, which runs through June 2 at Hamilton Golf and Country Club in Hamilton, Ontario.
