Rory McIlroy’s Former Manager Floats $950 Million Payoff for Defecting to LIV

Despite fierce attacks on Saudi-backed LIV Golf, it is now reported that professional golfer Rory McIlroy is seeking a huge payoff from the organization.

According to the golfer’s former agent, Andrew “Chubby” Chandler, McIlroy is likely hunting For big money new york post report.

“Rory likes to have an opinion, so he’s quick to say something, but he’s willing to apologize for it, and that’s what he did,” Chandler said. “If you’re cynical, you might say he’ll sign LIV within a month for about $950 million, because he’s paving the way for LIV to be okay now. My body. But I wasn’t okay right now.

“You know what? He doesn’t need $950 million, but what he did was strange and I think it’s certainly a possibility. I don’t know if he would do it, but… If so [Jon] Rahm can do it, most people can do it,” Chandler added.

“First of all, I think there’s a 10% chance that he supports his way of signing with LIV, but he understands that the whole bickering and fighting thing is not good for golf. People on the Street would be horrified by the amounts being talked about,” he concluded.

This would be a surprising turnaround for McIlroy, who has spent months attacking LIV Golf and those who support it.

In 2022, for example, he accused players who accepted money from LIV of being “duplicitous.”

McIlroy repeated such attacks over and over again. However, the PGA Tour itself changed tack regarding his collaboration with LIV, and McIlroy was suddenly on board.

Phil Mickelson, an early promoter of LIV, recently welcomed McIlroy’s change in direction, saying it was time for him to “let go” of that “hostility”.
