Rosie O’Donnell voiced her disapproval of Oprah Winfrey attending Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding, launching into an emotional tirade where she claimed that President Donald Trump’s policies would “kill people” and “end America as we know it.”
Taking to Instagram, O’Donnell shared reworked images that Sanchez had previously posted, contrasting her past and present looks related to the wedding of Bezos.
O’Donnell criticized Winfrey for being part of the guest list, questioning how influential figures could align themselves with Bezos, whom she feels mistreats his employees. She expressed disbelief, asking, “I’m Oprah’s friend with Jeff Bezos? Really? How is that possible?”
She previously labeled Sanchez a “fake fembot” and accused Bezos of abandoning his first wife, Mackenzie Scott, for someone who she finds less genuine. “Why would he choose her after being with someone like Mackenzie?” O’Donnell remarked.
In a follow-up post, she shared a photo of the couple, lamenting Bezos’ extravagant spending on the wedding while asserting that it comes at the expense of essential government services. “It’s disheartening,” she said, adding, “I feel wrong about it.”
In another post titled “God Help Us,” O’Donnell reacted to the wedding spectacle, criticizing the excessive focus on celebrity culture, stating that guests seemed oblivious to reality as they posed for photos in lavish attire.
She described the scene as “valueless performance nonsense,” arguing that society has become desensitized to celebrity worship. O’Donnell went on to declare that America is slipping into a “fascist” state, warning that Trump’s policies might dismantle democracy entirely and expressing concern over future elections.
She also suggested that being “gay” could face restrictions in what she termed “fascist America.”
