Rosie O'Donnell Describes the Arrest of Venezuelan Leader Maduro as 'Illegal' and a 'War Crime'

Rosie O’Donnell, the actor and comedian, has expressed her disdain for President Donald Trump once again, labeling his arrest of Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro as “illegal” and a “war crime,” this time during a discussion from Dublin, Ireland.

Even though a mental health counselor had advised her to refrain from speaking about Trump, O’Donnell couldn’t help but share her thoughts, particularly focusing on Trump’s actions in Venezuela.

As she vented about her insomnia, she conveyed concerns for “our country,” despite having become an Irish citizen after leaving the United States.

“So, how are you doing, America? These are strange times for this country,” she remarked before directing her criticism towards Trump.

“A crazy person in charge with no guardrails. People say they’re glad we’re from Venezuela, they’re happy. If you’re a Venezuelan, I understand why you’re happy, but if you’re an American who believes in the Constitution, what he did was illegal, it was a war crime. You can’t just remove people from the presidency,” she asserted.

Notably, President Trump acted on the request from the Biden administration, which had put forward a $25 million bounty for Maduro’s capture.

However, there appears to be a lack of credible analysis suggesting that Trump’s actions in Venezuela were indeed “illegal.”

O’Donnell also dismissed conspiracy theories that the Heritage Foundation orchestrated Maduro’s arrest, as well as claims regarding Trump’s physical and mental health.

“He’s mentally unstable. Something has to be done. Fast, really fast,” she continued, seemingly overwhelmed. “It’s dangerous. It’s dangerous for everyone. So sad, isn’t it? It’s tragic what happened. They warned us about it, Project 2025, the Heritage Foundation. Who would select this person to lead our country? Allowing this morally compromised, mentally and physically unfit man to govern and damage everything—it’s too disheartening, truly.”

Despite O’Donnell’s assertions, the president recently passed a medical exam with good results.
