Rosie O'Donnell moves to Ireland: 'Heartbreaking to see' what's happening in US politics

President Trump's longtime critic, Rosie O'Donnell, announced on Tuesday that she had moved to Ireland.

In a nearly 10-minute video from Tiktok, O'Donnell said he moved in with his 12-year-old on January 15th.

“I moved here on January 15th and it's really great. The people are so loving, so kind, so welcoming, so I'm so grateful,” O'Donnell said. “I have Irish grandparents, so I'm in the process of acquiring Irish citizenship.”

“I wasn't the kind of person I thought I would move to another country, but that's what I decided was the best for myself and my 12-year-old,” she added.

O'Donnell said he would consider returning to America when all citizens have “equal rights.”

“I miss a lot about living there at home. I'm trying to find a home here in this beautiful country. When it's safe for all citizens to have equal rights in America, that's when we consider coming back,” she said.

“It was heartbreaking to see things that are both political and difficult for me personally. As we all know, individuals are political,” she added.

O'Donnell had a long-standing feud with the president when he last took office. She has become known from the entertainment world as one of his most outspoken critics.

In the past, Trump has repeatedly mentioned O'Donnell as a “loser” and a “pig”, but she has called him “mentally unstable.”
