Rosie O’Donnell seems surprised by her own transformation.
The former “View” co-host shared a striking weight loss photo, crediting her progress to Mounjaro, a medication she began using for type 2 diabetes over two years ago.
“I can’t believe this is me now,” she captioned a recent slim picture of herself on Instagram.
The snapshot appeared to show the 63-year-old O’Donnell on stage with a microphone in hand.
The “A League of Their Own” actress first talked about her journey with Mounjaro in January 2023, explaining that she was prescribed it as an appetite suppressant a couple of months prior to manage her diabetes.
“On Christmas, I decided to stop drinking anything but water,” she said, noting that she had already lost 10 pounds at that point.
“I used to have five or six meals with soda each day. Now, it’s just water, and I’m trying to limit sugar as much as possible,” she added.
O’Donnell updated her followers on her health journey in March after moving to Ireland with her child, Clay, following the election of President Trump.
“I’ve lost more weight since being here,” she mentioned in a TikTok video.
While she attributes a lot of her transformation to Mounjaro, she also made significant lifestyle changes.
“We don’t have a chef anymore. Clay and I are doing our own cooking,” O’Donnell remarked.
She admitted to having “always had a weight issue,” especially when shopping for clothes in Dublin.
“I was shocked to find I’m now trying on larger sizes instead of the usual XL or XXL,” O’Donnell said, recalling that she used to wear “elastic pants” not long ago.
Despite the changes, she expressed feeling “healthy” and said she was getting better sleep.
Throughout her career, the “Rosie O’Donnell Show” alum has been candid about her weight struggles. After experiencing a heart attack in 2012, she underwent vertical sleeve stomach surgery the following year. “That surgery changed my life,” she reflected, mentioning that she lost a significant amount of weight, dropping from 240 pounds to 176 by 2015.
