Ellen DeGeneres, like Rosie O’Donnell, recently left the country to establish a new life in the pond after Donald Trump was elected president.
O’Donnell, 63, has not been in touch with DeGeneres recently, but admitted that he was “shocked” when he heard the former talk show host escaped from the US.

“It was very clear as to why I left. I don’t think that would surprise anyone. We’re not too nasty in each other’s world, and it was a bit annoying, but you wish her the best.
Although their relationship is not strong, O’Donnell insisted that he had no malicious intentions against the comedian.

O’Donnell doesn’t believe President Donald Trump will win another election, and remains loyal to his promise that if he moves to Ireland, she will leave the country, awaiting approval of citizenship.

O’Donnell confirmed his move to Ireland in March, saying he left the US just days before Trump took office, explaining that his new location is perfect for his 12-year-old son Clay.

“There’s a great, great school there. And Clay is doing very well. And they were really welcoming,” O’Donnell told Weekly.
“And I love small towns, small villages. It’s in the heart of Dublin, but it’s a village that still knows the names of the grocery stores and the cashiers. People are unbearably kind in the way that shocks me every day.”
