On Saturday night, the crowd at Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 302 erupted in cheers as former President Donald Trump walked out into the stands alongside UFC CEO Dana White.
A video posted to X (formerly Twitter) shows White ushering Trump to his seat as the crowd erupts in applause, and a commentator for the match can be heard saying Trump was receiving a standing ovation from fans, some of whom reached out to shake the former president’s hand as he passed by. “I was quietly predicting former President Trump would be at UFC 302 because he’s a huge MMA fan. I have a feeling he’ll be betting on these kinds of fights when he’s not here,” one commentator said.
“The applause he’s getting right now is pretty amazing and you can only imagine what’s to come,” Logan added in response.

Since the verdict was handed down Thursday evening, Republicans, legal experts and Trump have slammed the trial for relying on a key witness, Trump’s former lawyer and convicted liar Michael Cohen, who testified that Trump directed secret payments to porn star Storm Daniels and claimed the payments were repaid through falsified business records.
Bragg praised Friday’s ruling, but the Trump campaign announced within 24 hours of the verdict that the former president had received more than $50 million in donations. Trump is scheduled to be sentenced on July 11, just four days before the Republican National Committee (RNC) convention.
