Rubio: Iran’s Tactics are Over
On Sunday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Iran’s days of “playing the world” are finished. Speaking on “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo, he emphasized that “the game is up.” For decades, he noted, Iran has been stalling during nuclear negotiations.
Rubio pointed out that they can’t manipulate President Trump, asserting that he doesn’t want to go along with their games. He also differentiated between the Iranian regime and its citizens, criticizing the leaders for attempting to “hide” while buying time for themselves.
He added, “I think they’re cute,” but quickly corrected himself. “No, they aren’t cute. Under President Trump, they can’t escape accountability.” Rubio further challenged Iranian leaders for avoiding direct negotiations with the U.S., insisting they have relied too much on intermediaries.
“We’re not doing that anymore,” he stated plainly. The emphasis, according to him, should be on direct discussions about peacefully resolving issues, and he acknowledged the role of European allies in applying pressure on Iran.
In related news, President Trump recently declared a “very successful attack” on Iran’s nuclear program as U.S. forces targeted three critical sites. This operation, named “Midnight Hammer,” was executed by B-2 stealth bombers launched from Whiteman Air Force Base.
General Dan Kane described the mission as involving deception tactics, with some bombers diverting west as distractions. The main strike force traveled 18 hours to hit their targets quietly, ensuring surprise.
Following the strike, President Trump addressed the nation from the White House, noting that Iran’s main nuclear enrichment facility has been completely destroyed. He cautioned that the nation must respond decisively to any larger threats to peace.
