A entitled mother has been labeled “rude” and “ignorant” after asking a passenger to give up her window seat to soothe her crying infant, a video posted online shows. Ta.
According to a report from Jam Press, a seat dispute broke out on a domestic flight on Brazil's GOL Airlines.
The unidentified mother reportedly asked passenger Jennifer Castro if she could swap seats with her son, who wanted to sit by the window and had a seizure.
This request seemed especially ridiculous given that the mother's family already had a window seat, but the mother insisted on taking Castro's seat.
When Castro refused, the enraged mother took out her cell phone and filmed the passenger, apparently trying to humiliate her into the sky switcheroo.
“Why doesn't she want to change seats?” demands the parent in the clip. “I even asked if she had some kind of syndrome or something. If someone has any issues or disabilities, we understand that.”
“We're recording your face. This is terrible,” the mother added, asserting that people in the 21st century “have no empathy for children.”
Meanwhile, the flyer ignored the vitriol and only asked if she was being recorded.
The mother's attempt to publish the flyer backfired as online commenters sided with the woman and shamed the parents with their outrageous demands.
One advocate declared, “I feel sorry for the girl. She just wanted a peaceful trip,'' while another advocate said, “Choose and purchase your own seat and don't disturb others.'' Please.” No one is obligated to give up their seat. ”
“This girl needs to wise up and file a case against this disrespectful and ignorant mother,” the third child advised.
On the other hand, one viewer quipped, “Why didn't she ask the captain to resign so she could let her son fly the plane?”
In an even more ridiculous proposal in February, a woman allegedly asked a business class passenger to swap seats with her husband, who was assigned economy class.
