Rüfüs Du Sol speaks out about the surprising attack at the Rose Bowl concert

Incident at Lufes du Sol Concert in Los Angeles

Members of the Lufes du Sol Band spoke out on Monday after videos emerged showing men attacking women in the audience during a sold-out concert in Los Angeles.

The popular Australian electronic group, currently on their “Inhalation/Exhale World Tour 2025” in support of their fifth album, condemned the apparent act of violence that unfolded during their opening set at the Rose Bowl.

In footage obtained by FOX11, a man can be seen repeatedly hitting a woman in the stands. A police report regarding the incident has been filed with the Pasadena Police Department.

Authorities confirmed to Fox News Digital that they are actively investigating the situation. The band expressed on their Instagram story, “We strive to create moments where our fans can safely gather and celebrate.”

“We are heartbroken to hear about the violence that occurred during Saturday’s opening act, and such behavior is completely unacceptable in any context.”

The attacked woman described her experience as “traumatic,” recalling that the night took a turn shortly after she and her group sat down in the stadium that holds over 60,000 fans.

“When we first arrived at our seats, our drinks spilled accidentally, and we bumped the man in front of us,” she explained. “We apologized right away, but he screamed it was on purpose, then ran off, leaving his companion behind. We apologized to her too, thinking that was the end of it.”

About half an hour later, the man returned, yelling at the group and making threatening gestures.

“I tried to calm things down again and apologize, but the next thing I knew, I woke up in a medical tent an hour later and missed the whole show,” the woman recounted. “This man hit me in the face and knocked me out, causing significant bleeding. He continued to attack our group.” She also mentioned that a police report has been filed and they are “traumatized,” urging anyone who knows the suspect or his companion to come forward.

Rüfüs Du Sol is among the most successful names in the EDM scene and recently performed at Lollapalooza before wrapping up their North American leg in Los Angeles.

The band, consisting of Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George, and James Hunt, broke into the music scene with their album “Atlas” in 2013, leading to more successes with albums like “Bloom,” “Solace,” and their latest, “Inhale/Exhale,” released in October 2024. They acknowledged the support from fans both in the U.S. and internationally, particularly in regions like Mexico and South America.

Fox News Digital reached out to the Rose Bowl and the Pasadena Police Department for additional comments.
