Russell Brand Asks Followers ‘How Do You Vote for God’ this Election?

Actor, comedian, and podcast host Russell Brand posted a video over the weekend asking his followers, “How will you vote for God?” this election season.

In an accompanying video, Brand said the United States was “on the brink of decision,” alluding to the 2024 presidential election and asking his supporters how they would vote while reading from the Old Testament's Book of Job. This election day is for God.

“Many of you, you who are in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is at hand in the valley of decision,” he said. Joel 3:14.

After reading the Bible, Brand went on to ask believers whether they felt they were “standing on the precipice of great choice” not only in the world, but also in themselves as individuals.

Regarding the US election, he asked his supporters, especially Americans, what “certain choices” they thought would bring them, their families, their communities, and their country “closer to God.”

“How can the kingdom of God be manifested on earth?” he asked. “What values ​​and principles do we seek?”

And Brand emphasized how we live in a fallen world, just as humanity itself has fallen.

“We have fallen. The world has fallen. The system has fallen,” the actor said, noting that there is “higher dark powers, worship of worldliness, surrender to lust” and “submission to the devil.” . . ”

The brand concluded the video by asking its followers who were voting: “Do you believe in what decisions you can make?”

“Can you support a god-bringer?” he asked, before asking for people's opinions in the comments section.

Brando, who was baptized in April, had expressed an interest in Christianity in recent years.

“I've been a Christian for a month now and I've seen a big change,” Brand said in a TikTok video posted in May. “It's not like I've completely changed as a person. Of course I haven't, but I've introduced a lot of new concepts. And I've changed to accept that it's not like being on a game show. And if you do something really, really good, you can be saved.”
