Russell Wilson Embraces His Alter Ego, Mr. Unlimited

Russell Wilson, the new quarterback for the Giants, recently expressed no regrets about his 2018 video where he introduced his alter ego, Mr. Unlimited. This revelation came during a Thursday morning chat on WFAN, where fans have often laughed at the quirky persona.

“I’ll still do it,” Wilson told Greg Giannotti at Giants Training Camp in East Rutherford, New Jersey. He even encouraged kids to join him in saying “unliiiiimited.”

If you need a refresher, Wilson, now 36, first brought Mr. Unlimited to life while playing for the Seahawks. In a 60-second clip posted on social media, he shared a message about living life to the fullest.

“Hey, Russell here, yes, yes, typical boredom, yes, Russell, robot Russell, the real, real exciting stuff you guys want to know… Everyone has to have an alter ego. Why is my alter ego, I think his name, his name is Unliiimited,” he mentioned in that memorable clip. He encouraged people to be “unliiiiiiiiited,” emphasizing the importance of dreaming big.

Since then, Wilson’s journey has had its ups and downs. He was traded to the Broncos in 2022 and then spent last season with the Steelers. Now, he’s gearing up for his first year as the Giants’ starting quarterback after signing a one-year, $10.5 million deal in March.

“I’m excited this year,” he shared on Thursday, hinting at his enthusiasm for the upcoming season.

Before wrapping up, Giannotti led a fun chant of “unliiiiiiiiided” with his co-hosts, including former player Boomer Esiason and Wilson himself. “Get some wins and make the job easier. Get a touchdown. You need a touchdown,” he added, highlighting the team’s need for a fresh start.

After a tough 3-14 season, the Giants are set to kick off their 2025 campaign against Washington on September 7th.
