NASCAR’s Ryan Blaney Excited for Coca-Cola 600 with Bodyarmor Chill Design
NASCAR Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney is embracing the chill this Sunday night during the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
His No. 12 car showcases the much-anticipated Bodyarmor Chill Design, featuring flavors like frozen cherry, frozen orange, and frozen berries right on the hood.
Interestingly, Blaney hasn’t been associated with Bodyarmor since 2017 but expressed enthusiasm for their return to his vehicle. He shared how much he appreciates both the shared journey of his racing career and the evolution of the Bodyarmor brand.
“It was a fun ride, a fun trip,” Blaney noted. “It’s great to team up with such a hard-working group, and it’s always fun to experiment with different designs over the years. I’m really looking forward to this one at the 600.” He mentioned how much he enjoys using unique designs and believes fans do too.
The NASCAR crowd is eager, filling the speedway for what marks the first Cup Series point race following an All-Star race at North Wilkesboro Speedway.
As for the race itself, drivers tackle a demanding 600 miles and 400 laps, often seen as one of the toughest challenges of the season. Blaney corroborated this sentiment, reminiscing about his first race in 2015. He recalls thinking, “We’re in the middle of this?,” which highlights just how long and exhausting the race can be.
Even with these challenges, he relishes the competition of lasting longer than the other drivers on the track. Blaney clinched the 2023 Coca-Cola 600 en route to winning his first NASCAR Cup Series Championship.
This year, he ranks fifth among drivers in the upcoming race. Although he hasn’t claimed victory yet this season, he has secured five top-five placements and six top-10 finishes, showcasing his competitiveness more than a few times.
