ARLINGTON, Texas — Sabrina Ionescu scored 20 points, Betnijah Laney-Hamilton added 17 and the Liberty never trailed, leading the team to a 99-67 victory over the Dallas Wings on Thursday night for their fifth straight win.
Ionescu made 8 of 18 shots, including four 3-pointers, and had six assists as the Liberty (31-6), which had the best record in the league, beat the Wings for the second time in three days.
Laney Hamilton made three 3-pointers, made half of her 12 shots and grabbed six rebounds.
Breanna Stewart and Courtney VanderSloot both scored 11 points for the Liberty, and Leonie Fiebic added nine points off the bench.
Arike Ogunbowale and Maddie Siegrist each scored 11 points to lead Dallas (9-28), which has lost six straight games.
Ionescu made two 3-pointers and Laney Hamilton made one to give Liberty a 9-0 lead.
Jaylin Brown hit a 3-pointer to put Dallas within 20-15, but Ionescu made a 3-pointer and a reverse layup with 44 seconds left to give the Liberty a 25-15 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Ionescu had 16 points and Laney Hamilton had 12 as the Liberty led 50-32 at halftime. Dallas' bench scored 14 points in the first half, led by Brown's seven.

Sato Sabari's layup put the Wings up by 14 two minutes into the third quarter.
VanderSloot and Ionescu responded with consecutive layups, and Liberty held a comfortable 73-55 lead entering the fourth quarter.
The Liberty defeated the Wings 105-91 on Tuesday to become just the second team to win 30 games in 36 games, joining Las Vegas, which has won two straight championships.
The Aces accomplished this last season when the league first played a 40-game regular-season schedule. The Liberty needs to win their final three games to tie the Aces' record of 34-6.
