Sachia Vickery on Using OnlyFans to Support Her Tennis Career
American tennis player Sachia Vickery is making waves this week following her decision to use a subscription service, OnlyFans, to help fund her sports career.
After Germany’s Ella Seidel defeated her in the second round of the US Open Qualifiers, Vickery shared her thoughts on the platform, saying she doesn’t see any drawbacks to it, noting that it can help enhance one’s life.
“You know, tennis and OnlyFans… they can really complement each other. It’s not always easy to make a lot of money while on tour,” Vickery, 30, remarked during a post-match interview. “I’ve done pretty well in my career, but I started investing in myself quite young.”
“However, tennis players can easily spend a ton on coaching, hotels, food, training, and physiotherapy—like $100 million a year. So if there’s an alternative way to earn big to support this, I don’t see anything wrong with that,” she added.
Vickery, currently ranked 559th globally, has earned around $2 million over her 14-year professional career. Back in 2018, she was ranked as high as 73rd. She did mention that she’s been recovering from a shoulder injury she sustained earlier this year, only getting back on the court six weeks ago.
Next, Vickery plans to head to Mexico for the Guadalajara Open next month. She drew attention earlier this week when she candidly spoke about her OnlyFans experience during an Instagram Q&A.
“I’m quite open-minded, and I honestly don’t care what others think of me,” Vickery stated. “It’s the easiest money I’ve ever made, and I’m really enjoying it.”
“Honestly, the first two days I was blown away by how much I made—I was shaking!” she added.
Vickery charges $12.99 a month for access to her content, which she describes as “too spicy” for her Instagram audience.
She got the idea to start when she observed how successful her friends were on the platform. “I’ve got a really close friend who’s a big creator. I saw him doing incredibly well—he’s on a whole different level than I am. It seemed like a fun way for me to express myself,” she explained.
Interestingly, the Florida native also charges $1,000 for a date with her, saying, “Given how things have been with guys, I decided I need a $1,000 pre-deposit now for date requests.”
Vickery also previously struggled to qualify for the Australian Open back in January.
