Saints Mourn the Loss of Superdome Staffer Killed in Terror Attack

The New Orleans Saints are mourning the loss of Caesars Superdome employee Matthew Tenedrio, who was among the 14 people killed by terrorists on New Year's Day.

The Saints took to social media to express their sadness over Tenedrio's tragic death.

“Matthew is young, talented, and had a bright future helping provide quality content for both the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans.”

According to TMZ Sports, Tenedrio's parents said it was their son's dream to work at the Superdome. Grief-stricken family members also said they tried to contact him multiple times after learning of the attack and realized something was wrong.

On Friday, Saints owner Gail Benson made a donation to the Greater New Orleans Foundation to help victims of the terrorist attacks.

“Following the tragic events that occurred on Bourbon Street this New Year, we are committed to supporting the victims and their families,” Gail Benson said. “Through the Greater New Orleans Foundation's Disaster Relief Fund, we will provide critical support to disaster victims and ensure they have the resources they need during this difficult time.

“It is our collective responsibility to support our community during difficult times, and I will continue to stand with New Orleans as we recover together.”
