Sam Bankman-Fried dishes to Tucker Carlson about life in prison: 'It's sort of dystopian'

FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried spoke to former Fox News host Tucker Carlson about life in prison in an interview posted on social platform X.

“It's kind of dystopia,” Bankmanfried said. I told Carlson “Tucker Carlson Show.” “You know, fortunate, where I am, I am not… I am not in physical danger.”

“And you know, frankly, a lot of staff, they're trying to help,” he added. “They are trying to do what they can, taking into account the constraints. But you know, no one wants to be in jail.”

Bankmanfried was sentenced to 25 years in March last year after being convicted in the Southern District of New York in the fall of 2023 on conspiracy and federal fraud charges related to his involvement in the collapse of crypto exchange company FTX.

According to CNN, “A lot of people feel really disappointed.

“I'm sorry what happened at every stage. And there are things I should do and things I shouldn't have.”

Bankmanfried told Carlson in an interview that he was there. Brooklyn Detention Center And he said, “I made friends.”

“You know, I've started reading novels again. I'm playing some chess and I'm working on my legal cases as much as I can,” Bankmanfried said.

Bankman-Fried was a central figure in Washington's promising crypto industry before FTX collapsed. He also scooped up prominent support from celebrities such as NFL star Tom Brady and beloved NBA player Stephen Curry.

David Richardson, executive assistant at MDC Brooklyn, said he is Bankman Fried at the detention center.
