Katie Hoefnagle Celebrates Sam Darnold’s Stellar Performance

Katie Hoefnagle found herself breathless after watching her fiancé, Sam Darnold, put on an impressive show during a recent Sunday Night Football game.

Following Seattle’s commanding 38-14 win against the Commanders, Hofnagle took to her Instagram Stories to share a post from the Seahawks account, celebrating Darnold’s remarkable four touchdown passes in the first half.

With a caption featuring three gasping emojis, Hofnagle’s excitement was palpable as Darnold, aged 28, propelled the Seahawks to their sixth win of the season after a bye week.

“At halftime, someone told me there were no incompletions,” Darnold remarked, noting he hit his first 17 passes. “So I think he’s to blame for that one incomplete pass in the second half.”

In the thrilling matchup, Darnold wrapped up with 330 yards, completing 21 of his 24 passes, although he did throw one interception—his fifth of the season.

“Honestly, I’m not surprised,” said head coach Mike McDonald regarding his quarterback’s performance. “We see Sam in action every day. He’s consistently himself, and that’s what we appreciate. They’re focused and it’s enjoyable to watch.”

This season has already been a whirlwind for Darnold. Just before it began, he had posed a question to Hoefnagle back in July. The couple made their relationship public earlier this year.

The Seahawks are riding high with Darnold leading the charge. He made headlines by signing a three-year, $150 million contract with the team after revitalizing his career with the Vikings last season. Currently, Seattle is tied for the top spot in the NFC West alongside the Rams, and they’re gearing up to face each other on November 16th.
