Seahawks Celebrate Big Playoff Victory

Let’s call it “Victory Sunday: Postseason Edition.”

After the Seahawks triumphed over the 49ers in the playoffs, quarterback Sam Darnold’s fiancée shared her excitement on Instagram Stories following the impressive 41-6 win.

“Happy Victory Sunday,” Katie Hoefnagle wrote, sporting her Seahawks jacket and light wash jeans. She also included a slide from the game at Lumen Field, where her group raised glasses of beer in celebration.

Darnold, who was looking for his first postseason win, completed 12 of 17 passes for 124 yards and secured one touchdown, propelling Seattle to its first NFC title game since 2014.

The Seahawks dominated the game right from the start, with receiver Rashid Shahid returning the opening kickoff for a 95-yard touchdown. Running back Kenneth Walker III also made significant plays during the match.

“It was definitely one of our most complete games,” defensive lineman Leonard Williams remarked after the game. “Shahid setting the tone right from the beginning was huge.”

With this victory, the Seahawks, who finished the regular season as the NFC’s top seed with a 14-3 record, are set to host the winner of the Rams-Bears divisional showdown in next week’s NFC Championship Game.

For now, Darnold and his biggest supporter will relish this latest win.

Having had a comeback season with the Vikings, which saw them reach the postseason for the first time, Darnold had signed a three-year, $100 million contract with the Seahawks last March.
