Saquon Barkley praises Malik Nabers after stellar Giants day

Saquon Barkley is no longer with the Giants, but he still took the time to show some love to the team's rookie on social media on Sunday night.

After rookie receiver Malik Neighbors had a great game against the Browns, the Giants posted a video of him on their X-Page.

Berkeley watched the video later that night and wanted to comment.

“You're going to hate me but… I don't care!!! That's the kind of person he is!!” Berkley wrote to X while reposting the Neighbors video.

Barkley spent the first six years of his NFL career with the Giants before becoming a free agent last offseason and signing with the Eagles, the Giants' rival.

Interestingly, Barkley has never played against Neighbors, who was the sixth overall pick in this year's draft.

Neighbors was outstanding, notching two touchdown receptions and finishing with 78 yards on eight catches in the team's first win of the year in a 21-15 victory over the Browns.

In a video posted to the Giants' social media accounts, Neighbors told the camera, “Giants fans, this is Leak. We won. Let's keep it up. Let's keep moving forward.”

Some of his most impressive plays came in the second quarter, when Neighbors leapt over a Browns defender to make a catch and score a diving touchdown while keeping both feet inbounds on the same drive.

Neighbors also became the youngest wide receiver in NFL history to score two touchdowns in a game on Sunday.

Barkley also played well in the Eagles' win over the Saints on Sunday.

He gained 147 yards on the ground and scored two rushing touchdowns for Philadelphia.

Barkley was impressed with Neighbors' play this weekend, but will face him for the first time next month when the Giants host the Eagles at MetLife Stadium on Oct. 20.
