Saquon Barkley, running back for the Super Bowl-winning Philadelphia Eagles and brand ambassador for H. Moser & Cie., has collaborated with the Swiss luxury watchmaker to create a new watch. The timepiece, named the Pioneer Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Aventurine Saquon Barkley Edition, is launching this month with only 97 pieces available.
“It just feels like… homey,” Barkley shared with Alexa. “It feels like me. I think it’s timeless. The white rubber strap really makes it stand out, but it’s not flashy. The details in the watch are incredibly important to me, and I think they’re astonishing.”
This sporty-chic timepiece comes with a price tag of $99,000 and includes a skeletonized dial, an aventurine domed sub-dial, a transparent caseback, indices crafted from Super-LumiNova, and hour and minute hands enhanced with Globolight inserts.
Barkley envisioned a design that suits his dynamic lifestyle. “I could wear it on a golf course. I could wear it for dinner. I could wear it at an event, maybe to present or—fingers crossed—win an award. Plus, I could even work out with it.”
The accomplished player, who set the record for the most combined regular-season and playoff rushing yards during the memorable 2024-25 championship season, revealed that he didn’t own a watch until turning pro. “I wasn’t really into watches when I was younger,” he said. “But once you join the NFL, you notice the veterans sporting nice timepieces, and it definitely piques your interest.”
His unique watch design has already caught attention. “I’ve received a lot of positive feedback on it, and my family, friends, and teammates are all really excited—especially Big Dom,” he mentioned, referring to the well-loved member of the Eagles staff, Dom DiSandro. “Big Dom loves watches, so he’s thrilled about it.”
Barkley wore an H. Moser Endeavour Tourbillon Concept Vantablack watch to the 2025 Met Gala before officially becoming a brand ambassador last fall.
Bertrand Meylan, co-owner of H. Moser & Cie., noted that the collaboration stems from a genuine connection. “We seek out individuals who align with our watchmaking philosophy: a relentless pursuit of excellence, respect for fine craftsmanship, and the confidence to innovate. Saquon’s career is built on consistency, discipline, and an extraordinary work ethic—qualities we admire as part of our own ethos.”
Meylan took inspiration from Barkley’s favorite model, the Pioneer Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton, which he has sported frequently—from training sessions to formal events for The Michael Ann & Saquon Barkley Hope Foundation. “Its versatility and suitability for daily wear made it the ideal foundation for crafting a piece that really resonates with him.”
“The first look they showed me really struck a chord,” Barkley recalled. “Of course, we made some adjustments and refined certain aspects, but it’s so much easier when you’re collaborating with a reputable brand that’s been in the watch business for ages.”
