This week is brimming with significant events—too many, really. It appears that some folks have started calling JD Vance a socialist. So, are Republicans gaining ground or falling behind with American voters? Honestly, it’s a tough call. Perhaps it’s a little of both? Moreover, there’s some talk about the first-ever midterm political convention, which, of course, seems to be a brainchild of Trump’s.
The latest PISA education scores are out, and, well, let’s just say America isn’t exactly shining there. On another note, there seems to be a burgeoning data center industry in West Virginia that’s bringing in quite a bit of money. Meanwhile, it feels like the Baby Boomer generation is draining our wallets.
And then there was this moment at a sporting event.

It was a high-scoring matchup that had everyone on the edge of their seats.
This past weekend, Ole Miss took on Louisville in their season opener. The Rebels were heavily favored to win. But then, something amusing happened.
No, it wasn’t just that the Rebels seemed poised to lose and needed a last-minute 48-yard field goal along with a few desperate prayers to pull off the victory.
What caught everyone’s attention was Sara Smith, who was spotted on the sidelines genuinely anxious about the game’s outcome.
Images of her expressing concern have garnered over 30 million views since the broadcast aired almost two days ago, according to social media insights. Those numbers will likely continue to rise.
We’ve seen this type of thing before. A recent example that comes to mind is the “hawk tuah” girl, who jumped from podcast to podcast, got involved in a crypto scam, and eventually ended up on OnlyFans. Then there’s Kait, the Oilers fan who went viral for a cheeky moment during a hockey game and later posed for Playboy. And I don’t know if you knew this, but Pam Anderson was first noticed when she appeared on a jumbotron at a CFL game. Can you believe that? Who even watches Canadian football?
But among the wholesome “discovered by chance” stories, Katherine Webb stands out. She was dating quarterback AJ McCarron when she caught the attention of viewers.

Brent Musburger: “Now when you’re a quarterback at Alabama — you see that lovely lady there? She does go to Auburn, I want to admit that, but she’s also Miss Alabama, and that’s A.J. McCarron’s girlfriend, okay. And right there on the right is Dee Dee Bonner — that’s A.J.’s mom. Wow. I’m telling you, you quarterbacks, you get all the good-looking women. What a beautiful woman. Wow!”

Musburger: “Whoa! … So if you’re a youngster in Alabama, start getting the football out and throw it around the backyard with Pop.”
It’s true, Americans do have an appreciation for beautiful women.
But, a piece of advice for you, Ms. Smith: You might want to consider marrying that guy.
You know who I’m talking about. Just think about it—you’ll know exactly who I mean.
Try to tune out the noise. Don’t pay attention to the Barstools, the NBCs, or the podcasters. Most definitely, steer clear of those involved in any sort of questionable business.
Get hitched, start a family, live a normal life.
