Sarah Ferguson is gearing up for a significant change as her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, 65, encounters difficulties after losing his royal title.
Ferguson, 66, is planning to relocate to her own residence, concluding a lengthy arrangement where she and Andrew coexisted in the expansive Royal Lodge mansion in Windsor, a situation that continued even after their divorce in 1996.
A source close to Ferguson mentioned, “She intends to move out and establish her own home.” According to another insider, they emphasize her focus on independence rather than royal perks.
It’s a notable transition, but those familiar with Ferguson’s situation assert she’s determined to build an autonomous life. “She aims to move forward on her own terms,” the source added.
Palace insiders suggest it’s unlikely Ferguson will accompany Andrew to Sandringham, where he is anticipated to reside following his departure from the Royal Lodge. The change comes after a formal notice was given on October 30, ordering Andrew to relinquish his lease at the Royal Lodge, following King Charles’ action of stripping Andrew of his royal honors.
Sources indicate Andrew is preparing to move to Sandringham mansion. His future living arrangements will be privately funded by the monarch.
In a statement, Buckingham Palace confirmed that the process of stripping Prince Andrew of his titles has begun. From now on, he will go by Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The palace mentioned, “His lease at Royal Lodge has offered him legal protection thus far, but a formal notice has been served, and he will be relocating to different private accommodations.” Despite denying allegations against him, officials believe this decision is necessary.
Recent developments have arisen following the announcement that Andrew Lowney would give up his title of Duke of York, shortly after Lowney’s unauthorized biography concerning the House of York was released. Additionally, Prince Andrew has ties to the controversial financier Jeffrey Epstein.
Originally born in 1960 as Queen Elizabeth’s second son, Andrew was once considered her favorite. The current plan indicates he will likely move into the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, which is owned privately by the king, placing him away from public view in a sort of ‘exile,’ according to royal experts.
