Sarah Ferguson Supports Prince Andrew Amid Title Stripping

Sarah Ferguson is publicly expressing her support for her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, following the removal of his royal titles and honors due to renewed scrutiny over his past connection with Jeffrey Epstein.

Ferguson, 66, declared that she will “always support Andrew,” even after he agreed to renounce the title of Duke of York. Sources revealed that this decision came after discussions with King Charles III, leading to Andrew stepping back from all royal styles and honors.

Although Ferguson and Andrew divorced in 1996, she still resides with him at the Royal Lodge in Windsor. She, too, will lose her ceremonial title of Duchess of York.

A friend mentioned, “Sarah is always by Andrew’s side. She has always loved him.” Another added, “Sarah seems relaxed…that’s always a polite title.”

Buckingham Palace confirmed on Friday that the 65-year-old prince’s decision to step back from his title was made in consultation with the King and other family members. This change follows unsettling details emerging from Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir, “Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice,” where she claims Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell forced her to have sex with a prince at the age of 17.

Andrew has denied these accusations.

In 2022, he reportedly settled a civil lawsuit brought by Giuffre for $12 million, thus avoiding a trial. Tragically, Giuffre, 41, took her own life in April.

Ferguson has faced her own challenges regarding her past associations with Epstein, leading to recent scrutiny.

Previous reports indicated she had written a letter to Epstein in 2011, apologizing for publicly distancing herself from him and acknowledging a financial loan of about $20,000 from him.

As a consequence, several British charities, including Julia’s House and the British Heart Foundation, have severed ties with her.

Despite their loss of royal titles, Andrew and Ferguson continue to live together at Royal Lodge, where they hold a long-term lease with the Crown Estate.

Their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, remain unaffected and retain their titles as granddaughters of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Buckingham Palace announced that Prince Andrew has not performed any royal duties since 2019 and will not participate in the royal family’s Christmas celebrations at Sandringham.
