Sarah Ferguson Faces Scrutiny Over Jeffrey Epstein Emails

Sarah Ferguson is back in the spotlight regarding her past relationship with the late Jeffrey Epstein. Recently disclosed emails, part of a larger release from the Department of Justice involving over 3 million documents, include some rather inappropriate comments about Epstein’s then-19-year-old daughter.

In one email from March 2010, Epstein inquired about Ferguson’s plans for a trip to New York. Ferguson replied, “I don’t know yet. I’m just waiting for Eugenie to get back from her bad weekend!!” At that time, Princess Eugenie was living with her father, Prince Andrew, and Ferguson, who also has another daughter, Princess Beatrice. As of now, attempts to reach Ferguson for comment have been made.

Interestingly, Ferguson had previously canceled various charitable efforts after referring to Epstein as a “generous and best friend.” This latest revelation arrives amid ongoing scrutiny of Ferguson’s ties to Epstein, which have resurfaced following earlier leaked emails.

In September, additional emails between Ferguson and Epstein came to light. Notably, in 2011, even after declaring her disapproval of their friendship in an interview, Ferguson contacted Epstein, expressing deep regret and promising to cut ties with him. This commitment came three years after Epstein was incarcerated for soliciting prostitution from a minor.

After that interview, Ferguson wrote to Epstein, calling him a “steady and generous best friend,” showing a stark contrast to her prior statements. She explained how she had been advised against any contact, fearing it would hurt her career as an author and philanthropist.

Additionally, Ferguson’s attorney mentioned that the emails were sent in response to Epstein allegedly threatening legal action for defamation, claiming they were intended to mitigate the situation. Following the release of those emails in September, Ferguson saw her involvement with several charities diminish considerably.
