Brandon Blackstock’s daughter, Savannah, expressed her emotions following his passing at age 48. In an heartfelt Instagram post, she shared how much he meant to her.
Nearly two weeks after his death, Savannah reflected on their bond, mentioning that her dad was instrumental in helping her achieve her dreams. She wrote, “He made a path for me, no matter how high he had to reach.”
In her tribute, she shared that he wasn’t just a father but also her biggest supporter, always there cheering her on across the globe. “He was my best friend, my voice, and my favorite person to talk to,” she said.
She added that for the last six months, they had sought spiritual growth together: “He had an intense desire for faith, and we really worked on that together. Just twelve days ago, he gave me the gift of knowing he is in heaven with our Savior.”
Savannah mourned the loss of “a piece” of her heart, reflecting on the profound impact he had on her life.
Brandon lost his battle with skin cancer on August 7. Following his passing, Savannah affectionately referred to him as “My Favorite Cowboy” and expressed her gratitude, stating, “Heaven has won an angel. I can’t wait for eternity. I love my daddy.” She envisioned him enjoying the ranch in heaven designed for his heart’s desires.
To accompany her heartfelt words, she shared a photo from her wedding day alongside Brandon and a sweet image with her young son, Luke.
In September 2023, Savannah married Quentin Lee, just a year after welcoming their son. Last month, she opened up about her growing family, mentioning they were expecting two girls, one born in January and another, Juliana, who brings joy to their family.
Brandon’s struggle with skin cancer and his death left a significant impact. Melissa Ashworth, Savannah’s mother, praised him shortly after his passing, calling him the best dad. Brandon and Melissa were married from 2001 to 2012 and shared an 18-year-old son named Seth.
In addition to Savannah, Brandon is survived by Seth and his two children from his marriage to Kelly Clarkson: 11-year-old Kawa and 9-year-old Remington. Seth honored his father as a “hero” in his own tribute after the loss. Brandon’s online obituary mentioned he had found love with Britany Marie Jones following his divorce from Clarkson.
