Savannah Guthrie Shares Disturbing New Details in Mother’s Kidnapping Case
Savannah Guthrie has uncovered frightening new evidence concerning her mother, Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapping. Key points include a back door that was forcibly opened on February 6, a bloodstain found on the front porch, and a disabled Ring camera. James Gagliano, a former FBI Supervisor, examined the tough desert landscape around Tucson, Arizona, emphasizing the challenges investigators face in tracking down the kidnappers. Savannah expresses a belief that her mother’s celebrity status may be linked to the abduction, coupled with feelings of guilt that she might have played a role in it.
Nancy Guthrie, who is 84, has been missing for three months after reportedly being taken from her home in the Catalina Foothills near Tucson. Authorities insist that the search is still “active and ongoing.” A spokesperson from the Pima County Sheriff’s Office, leading the investigation, urged anyone with information related to Nancy’s case to step forward. They provided contact options including 88-CRIME and the FBI tip line at 1-800-225-5324.
Calls for more information intensified after a private lab in Florida sent DNA samples from the crime scene to the FBI and investigators suggested the blood pattern on the porch implied a single abductor.
Just days ago, the FBI finally received hair samples from the crime scene, which had taken weeks to analyze at a forensic lab in Florida. Experts have indicated that further testing might take considerably longer.
Authorities reported being alerted to Nancy’s disappearance around noon on February 1 when a relative raised the alarm. Savannah shared that the police found the back door ajar along with a trail of blood near the front entrance. Interestingly, her doorbell camera had become disconnected around 1:47 a.m. that morning, although investigators managed to retrieve footage showing a masked individual carrying a firearm at the front door.
At 2:12 a.m., home security software recorded a person in front of one of the cameras, but investigators were unable to access this footage. A notable detail is that around 2:28 a.m., the app connected to Nancy’s pacemaker also disconnected. Additionally, authorities are still working diligently with the FBI to explore leads and gather facts concerning this troubling situation.
Police have yet to identify the masked figure captured on the Nest doorbell camera at Nancy’s home. Descriptions mention he carried an Ozark Trail hiking backpack, wore gloves, long sleeves, and had a firearm in a holster.
Guthrie celebrated her 84th birthday just days before she went missing, on January 27. The degree of investment in this case continues to heighten as the investigation unfolds.
