A woman wearing what appeared to be leather lingerie has been charged with drink-driving after colliding with an electric bike in Sydney’s Moorpark overnight.
Emergency services were called to South Dowling Street in Sydney’s east at 3.45am after a Subaru sedan collided with an e-bike near the intersection of light rail and Devonshire Street.
Emergency services treated the 29-year-old man, who was riding the Lime e-bike, at the scene and transported him to St Vincent’s Hospital in a serious condition.
New South Wales Police said the 27-year-old female driver tested positive in a roadside breath test and was taken to Surry Hills Police Station where she underwent a secondary breath test which returned a reading of 0.095. It is said that it was done.
She was then transferred to St Vincent’s Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.
The woman has since been charged with moderate drink-driving and is scheduled to appear in Downing Center Local Court on March 14.
South Dowling Street was closed southbound after the accident, and traffic was affected for several hours.
A crime scene was established and specialists from the Collision Investigation Division attended and examined the scene, but the man was found unconscious on the road with injuries believed to have been caused by being hit by a car.
