Scarlett Bordeaux Reflects on WWE Journey

Scarlett Bordeaux, known for her captivating presence in professional wrestling, had ambitious plans when she joined WWE. Unfortunately, those aspirations didn’t pan out as she hoped.

She and her husband, Kevin Kesar, aka Killer Kross, were among the first released by the organization in 2021. They made a comeback the following year, continuing until their contract ended in August 2025.

During an interview with former wrestler D-Von Dudley, the couple elaborated on their WWE experiences and the common occurrence of talent releases in wrestling.

Scarlett mentioned how she built a significant following in earlier wrestling promotions and was strategizing her future, particularly aiming to bring back a sense of allure to the industry during her WWE stint. However, despite her intentions, she never got the chance to fully realize her vision.

She expressed frustration at how the company curtailed opportunities, attributing it to a shift away from the more provocative elements that characterized earlier wrestling eras. Scarlett longed for a return to simpler times, where matches had a more playful tone, like bra and panties contests.

She indicated that the organization’s move towards a women’s revolution did not align with her character, which was more of a nostalgic throwback. “I think they were pushing a serious direction, while I was bringing a fun element back,” she stated. This approach didn’t sit well with some, particularly within the women’s wrestling community, but she stood by her vision, noting that it created an intriguing heel persona.

Ultimately, WWE chose not to capitalize on her character, which D-Von Dudley pointed out as a missed opportunity. The situation serves as a poignant reminder of the complexities and challenges that pro wrestlers face in navigating the industry.
