The horrifying moment a rare earthquake rocked New Jersey was captured on a home security camera Friday morning.
Shaking footage shows the wooded backyard of Jeremy Godwin’s home in Morristown, where the 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck.
“Here in Morristown, New Jersey, the ground rumbled for at least 25-30 seconds. #earthquake,” he wrote to xwhere he posted the footage.
“Upon further consideration…I think it probably lasted about a minute. Security cameras captured the shaking (maybe NSFW language).” he added.
A rattling and rumbling sound is heard before Godwin is heard talking about his horrifying experience.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the epicenter of the quake was near Whitehouse Station in New Jersey, and it was felt throughout the region, including all three states from Maryland to Maine.
There were no immediate reports of major damage.

Local government officials in the quake-hit city said inspections had begun to ensure the safety of buildings, bridges and other infrastructure.
It was the first major earthquake to hit the Big Apple since 2011.
New York City issued an emergency alert for the earthquake, which lasted about 40 minutes, as scheduled.
It advised residents to “stay indoors and call 911 if you are injured.”
