Scheana Shay isn’t here to be petty.
The “Vanderpump Rules” cast member called out former co-star Kristen Doute on Instagram after she promoted a “Petty With a Purpose” T-shirt with a caption that was supposedly inspired by the R. Kelly song “Bump ‘n’ Grind.”
“My head is saying no but my heart is saying yes… 😏,” Doute, 41, captioned a video of him and his friend Zach Wickham showing off the goods.
“Not an R. Kelly quote…🫣😬,” Shay, 39, said. Commented on the video Thursday night.
The opening lyrics of Kelly’s 1993 song are, “My mind says no, but my body says yes.”
But Douté Responding to Shay’s comments She simply replied, “Huh?”, meaning she was unaware of the reference.
Wickham later Clarified“The caption came from an e-card. Of course, I had no idea he wrote the lyrics.”
Wickham stars alongside Doute in “The Valley.” I joked about the misunderstanding.“It’ll probably be featured on next week’s episode of the podcast,” he told fans.
