Scott Jennings, a prominent supporter of President Donald Trump in cable news, shared his thoughts from Jerusalem, Israel, on Sunday, suggesting that the US should target Iran’s nuclear sites, specifically the Fordow facility.
Jennings, who has been in Israel since the conflict began earlier in the week, frequently provides insights on Iran’s missile actions, often sharing his opinions during discussions on CNN.
On Sunday, he contended that the US needs to collaborate with Israel to strike Iran’s heavily fortified nuclear site. He highlighted that Fordow is situated deep in the mountains, necessitating bunker-busting bombs for effective damage—capabilities that Israel currently lacks.
Jennings stated that if Trump were to be involved in such an operation, it could earn him a Nobel Peace Prize for mitigating a global threat.
Here are some of his key comments:
Reflecting from Jerusalem, it’s clear that Israel is transforming the Middle East landscape while undermining the largest backer of radical Islamic terrorism worldwide. Trump played a fantastic part in this strategy.
He asserted that—correctly—if Iran acquires nuclear weapons, there won’t be peace. That has to be America’s guiding principle in foreign policy.
Thanks to Israel, Iran’s terror regime is at its weakest point. The opportunity to eliminate these destabilizing forces is something we cannot afford to ignore.
In my view, Trump would be right to eliminate the nuclear enrichment operations at Fordow. That action seems justified to me, and if he were to succeed, he should absolutely be considered for the Nobel Peace Prize.
This is a moment for a generation to enhance global safety and safeguard Western civilization.
Target Fordow. Dismantle the Iranian threat. Reinstate deterrence. I would also win a Nobel.
While Trump expressed a desire for the war to conclude, he cautioned Iran that Israel might take action if an agreement is not reached within the specified 60-day timeframe, reiterating on Saturday that “If Iran has nuclear weapons, it cannot have peace.”
