Scott and Kelly Wolf Appear in Court Amid Legal Issues

Scott Wolf and his estranged wife, Kelly Wolf, recently had a court appearance just days after their arrests.

The couple, with Scott being 57 and Kelly 48, attended a hearing in Utah on Wednesday concerning Scott’s request for a protection order. According to court notes, Scott’s attorney, Bert Johnson, was there, but the judge chose not to address the restraining order fully since Kelly did not have legal representation.

It was stated that Kelly needs to send a letter to the court confirming her legal representation. Following this, Scott was instructed to communicate directly with her lawyer.

The judge noted that some conditions from a temporary protection order issued on August 26 remain unchanged. This order had been put in place after Kelly was arrested for allegedly leaking her phone number on Instagram. The order prohibits Kelly from contacting either Scott or their children, Jackson, 16, and Miller, 12, which means she must stay at least 300 feet away from Scott.

However, there are allowances for communication regarding the children, depending on their best interests. Sources suggest that neither Scott nor Kelly is required to respond to the other’s communications, especially concerning matters in court.

Looking ahead, the next court date is set for October 26. By that time, Kelly is expected to have secured an attorney to represent her in the proceedings. Neither party had commented immediately after the hearing.

This latest court session comes shortly after Kelly’s admission that she had checked out of a rehabilitation facility just two days prior. She plans to stay at a hotel in Arizona while intending to check into another facility in Utah next month. Kelly indicated that her primary need is help with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) rather than issues related to addiction.

Earlier, Scott was temporarily granted custody following Kelly’s arrest and subsequent charges that include the misuse of personal identification information and electronic communications harassment. These charges arose after an incident where Kelly shared private texts and Scott’s phone number with one of their children on social media.

During a court session on September 2, Kelly mentioned her upcoming rehabilitation, expressing optimism about the experience and stating that her brother would accompany her. She had indicated to the judge, “I’ve always seen myself as a mental health expert.”

At that time, she was also ordered to avoid alcohol, drugs, or other controlled substances unless prescribed and to refrain from contacting potential witnesses in the case.

Scott and Kelly were married in 2004 and have three children together. Scott initiated divorce proceedings in June. Following this, Kelly faced hospitalizations in Utah, one of which occurred during a live Instagram stream.

Scott had previously sought a restraining order in July but later requested that it be lifted. After Kelly’s release from jail on August 28, there were claims that she was asked to leave an Airbnb shortly after, allegedly after her time there had expired.
