Scottie Scheffler Triumphs at FedEx St. Jude Championship

It was another successful outing for the PGA Tour as Scottie Scheffler celebrated a victory on Sunday at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, finishing at 17 under par.

His performance was impressive, as he outclassed second-place Kim Si-woo by a staggering eight strokes. This win marks the 21st title in Scheffler’s PGA Tour career, making him the third youngest player to reach such a milestone. He joins the ranks of Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods, being only the second player to achieve this many wins on tour.

This week, he will take home $3.6 million, bringing his career earnings to over $119 million. Interestingly enough, Woods is just slightly ahead of him, a little over a million shy of his all-time earnings record, as reported by Front Office Sports.

At only 30 years old, Scheffler has already secured four major championships and stands just one victory away from completing a Grand Slam at the US Open.

In a notably calm final round, the world No. 1 shot a 4-under 66.

His fellow competitor and friend, Sam Burns, struggled early on and couldn’t bounce back, finishing tied for third at 8 under.

This victory marks Scheffler’s second of the 2026 season, with his first coming at the American Express tournament in January. Since then, he’s been on fire, racking up 10 top-five finishes, including five runner-up positions. It’s his remarkable consistency that often sets him apart from other talented players like Rory McIlroy, currently No. 2 in the world.

In fact, no one on the PGA Tour has shown such steady performance since the prime of Tiger Woods in the early 2000s.

As the 2026 season approaches its end, Scheffler appears to be in top form once again, with sights set on the upcoming BMW Championship (the second round of playoffs) and then the Tour Championship in Atlanta.
