Oddsmakers expect Scottie Scheffler to bounce back after a tumultuous weekend at Louisville.
The world’s No. 1 golfer is the heavy favorite to win this weekend’s Charles Schwab Challenge, sitting at +280 with a 365 bet ahead of Thursday’s first tee time.
Scheffler feels it couldn’t be more bizarre for a major tournament weekend.

On Friday, Scheffler was arrested outside Valhalla Golf Club for refusing to obey traffic laws and later charged with second-degree assault on a police officer, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and running a red light. .
Scheffler left prison, returned to the golf course just before tee time, and went on to shoot a 5-under 66 on Friday, leaving him just three strokes behind the leader.
After struggling on Saturday, Scheffler bounced back on Sunday to finish tied for eighth and end his Grand Slam bid.
The arrest overshadowed the birth of his first child, and Scheffler took several weeks off the golf course ahead of Valhalla.
Scheffler finished in style, holing out from 167 yards on the par-4 for eagle two. Just days after his wife, Meredith, gave birth to their son, Bennett, on his first tournament hole as a father, Scheffler finished in style.
