Scottie Scheffler was cheered Friday at Valhalla Golf Course when he returned from prison after shooting a 66 in the second round of the PGA Championship.
Scheffler received even more support at home and on social media. Golf influencer Grace Callis was among those who expressed her love for Scheffler. She posted a photo of herself in a crop-top shirt with Scheffler’s mugshot emblazoned across her chest.

Scheffler entered the race for the lead at the end of the second round and finished just three strokes behind the leader. Xander Schauffele entered the clubhouse at 12 under.

“I would say it was pretty good, the best round of my career,” Scheffler said after the round. “I definitely never imagined going to prison, and I definitely never imagined going to prison in the morning before tea time.”
Scheffler is charged with second-degree assault on a police officer (a felony), criminal mischief, reckless driving and failing to stop a police officer during a traffic stop, stemming from the incident early Friday morning. .
