Scottish actress Karen Gillan shared a glimpse of her World Cup experience, humorously recounting how she ended up on the “wrong bus” filled with Brazilian fans after their team’s impressive 3-0 victory over Scotland in Miami on Wednesday night.
Known for her roles in Guardians of the Galaxy and the Jumanji series, Gillan embraced the accidental detour, even joining in with the Brazilian supporters’ celebrations.
“I think we took the wrong bus,” she playfully remarked in an Instagram Story, capturing the lively atmosphere among the Brazilian fans after their win. “But we love Brazil.”
In another clip, she was seen alongside the Brazilian fans singing “No Scotland, No Party,” a popular anthem among Scottish supporters.
“They’re singing our song!!” she exclaimed in her post.
She also shared a moment where fans from both teams swapped jerseys, highlighting the camaraderie despite the competition.
In a video where she gave a thumbs-up, Gillan expressed her enthusiasm: “Thank you for joining me on my World Cup journey. What’s next tonight?”
Meanwhile, Brazilian star Vinicius Junior scored twice, while Matheus Cunha added another goal, propelling Brazil into the knockout stages.
Scotland concluded their group matches with three points, and their chances of moving on will depend on if they qualify as one of the third-place teams.
Gillan was thrilled to support her team in Miami, saying in a video from the stands: “I can’t believe we made it.”
Neymar Jr. made his 2026 World Cup debut after recovering from a calf injury, coming off the bench to a warm reception from fans. This marked his return to the national team since October 2023.
Neymar shared tender moments with his long-term partner, Brazilian model Bruna Biancardi, and their two daughters, Maeby and Mel.
The couple recently announced that they are expecting their third child.
Brazil is set to play in the Round of 32 on June 29th.
