Scottsdale Gun Club Celebrates NFA Change
On August 15, 2026, the Scottsdale Gun Club marked a significant shift in firearm regulations by selling suppressors to Sheriff Jerry Sheridan and Sheriff Mark Lamb, each priced at $17.76.
As members of Gun Owners of America, both sheriffs qualify for protections established in a ruling on August 5, 2026, in Jensen vs. ATF by U.S. District Judge James Wesley Hendricks. This decision allows plaintiffs, including Gun Owners of America members and others involved in the combined lawsuit, to transfer suppressors, short-barreled rifles, and shotguns without the usual NFA registration.
Sheriff Sheridan shared his thoughts with Breitbart News during the event. “I’m exercising my Second Amendment rights as an American citizen, purchasing a firearm suppressor for my duties,” he stated, adding that his personal weapon is a Colt AR-15.
He also remarked, “I’ve bought other suppressors in the past. I had to pay $200 and deal with lengthy wait times. Now, thanks to this change, I can buy them directly in-store without the hassle of paperwork.”
Sheriff Lamb expressed similar sentiments, discussing their membership in Gun Owners of America. “Honestly, we’re fed up with this overreaching government,” he commented. He viewed these changes as a positive step towards honoring the Second Amendment and the rights established by the Founding Fathers.
