Geno Smith had such a money move on Sunday.
The Seahawks quarterback took advantage of $6 million in incentives in his contract during the team's 30-25 win over the Rams in the final week of the regular season.
Smith completed 20 of 27 passes for 223 yards and led a game-winning scoring drive in the fourth quarter, including a 16-yard touchdown pass to Noah Fant with just over three minutes left in the game. Concluded.
The former Jets QB earned three separate incentives worth $2 million each during the game.
He reached 4,283 passing yards for the year and collected $2 million on a fourth-quarter success from Jackson Smith-Njiba.
And by leading the Seahawks to their 10th win of the year, he was able to collect an additional $2 million in incentives.
The final $2 million was received when the game was over and Smith finished the 2024 season with a 70.4% completion rate, higher than his 2023 completion rate of 69.8%.
With this victory, the Seahawks were able to end the year on a positive note, although they did not advance to the playoffs.
Seattle ended the year on a winning streak, winning six of their last eight games after the bye week.

“I wanted to finish the season strong. I think I had a pretty good season,” Smith said on FOX after the win. “I wish we could have won one more game to get to the playoffs, but I'm proud of the way we played today. Some may say it was a meaningless game, but with integrity, we could have won this game. Every game means everything and every game matters.”
Smith's three-year, $75 million contract ends after the 2025 NFL season.
