The newly indicted Sean “Diddy” Combs was tried in New York City for firing a gun inside a Manhattan club in 2001 but was acquitted by a jury at the time.
Combs was on trial for an incident that occurred on December 29, 1999, at Club New York on West 43rd Street in which three club-goers were injured.
Combs is specifically accused of firing one shot into the ceiling of a Midtown dance club and then working with his then-girlfriend, superstar Jennifer Lopez, to try to bribe driver Wardell Fenderson to take the blame for a second gun found in the getaway car.
