Cathy Ventura shared in her testimony that Sean “Diddy” Combs expressed jealousy and suggested that her then-partner, Kid Cudi, would face repercussions, even saying his car would explode due to their relationship.
“He mentioned that after we left the place where Scott’s car was blown up, he wanted his friends to witness it,” she said, referring to Scott Mescudi, who is Kid Cudi’s real name.
This unsettling threat, according to Ventura, prompted her to end things with Mescudi.

During her time in Manhattan Federal Court, Ventura recounted feeling a sense of panic when she discovered the extent of her relationship with Mescudi.
She recalled a rather awkward meeting at Soho House in New York, where Mescudi quipped, “How’s my car?” to Combs. Ventura remembers Combs’ curt response: “What kind of car?” That remark wrapped up the meeting.
Furthermore, Ventura remarked on how Diddy discovered her connection with Mescudi during what she described as a “freak-off.” She stated that Combs found one of her emails related to Mescudi while searching through her phone.
In her 2023 lawsuit, she alleged that Combs threatened to blow up Mescudi’s car, and coincidentally, that very vehicle did explode soon after in the rapper’s driveway.
