Disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is reportedly on suicide watch while awaiting trial on charges including more than a decade of abuse of women and others, threats, extortion, racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice.
Combs, who has been denied bail twice, is under suicide watch at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, officials said. spoke To people.
It's unclear whether Combs is having suicidal thoughts, but sources told the publication that he is in a state of shock and authorities are unsure of his mental state, so he has been placed on suicide watch as a precaution.
Combs was arrested Monday and charged with one count of organized criminal conspiracy, one count of sex trafficking by coercion, fraud or threat and one count of transportation for the purposes of prostitution, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
On Tuesday, the Southern District of New York unsealed a federal indictment against the 54-year-old man, alleging abuse, threats, extortion, extortion conspiracy, sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice against women and others over a period of more than a decade.
The allegations include that Combs organized and directed “freak-offs,” days of sexual encounters involving sex workers during which he electronically recorded himself masturbating, and gave the victims “various controlled substances” to keep them “docile and submissive.”
According to the federal indictment, after the Freak Off, Combs allegedly put the victim on “physical exertion and intravenous drips to aid in her recovery from drug use,” and the music mogul also allegedly used recordings he had “as collateral for the victim's continued compliance and silence.”

On Tuesday, Combs' lawyers filed a bail request arguing that “several courts in this district have recognized that conditions at the Metropolitan Detention Center are not suitable for pretrial detention.”
“Earlier this summer, an inmate was murdered,” Combs' lawyers said. “At least four inmates have committed suicide in the past three years.”
Another hearing for the disgraced music mogul is scheduled for September 24th.
Combs' racketeering charge carries a maximum sentence of life in prison. The sex trafficking, fraud or extortion charges carry a maximum sentence of life in prison and a minimum sentence of 15 years in prison, and the transportation for the purposes of prostitution charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
