Sometimes you just need to go out and take advantage of the opportunities that are presented to you. The Denver Broncos did just that on Thursday night in Louisiana.
The Broncos made the most of the injury-riddled New Orleans Saints, who looked exactly the part. Denver entered the Superdome on Thursday night and won 33-10.
Broncos running back Javonte Williams showed much-needed explosiveness by finding the end zone twice during the game, and kicker Will Lutz made 3 of 3 field goal attempts in the first half.

The second half started much like the first, with Lutz making his fourth field goal of the night. On the next drive, Williams found the end zone for the second time to take a 26-3 lead. For reference, Denver returned a fumble home and scored in the fourth quarter, almost holding a 33-3 lead.
The Saints looked like a team that had a backup quarterback in the game and missed their top two targets, and that's exactly what happened. With Derek Carr nursing an injury and Chris Olave and Rashid Shahid sidelined, Spencer Rattler started.

Rattler completed 25-of-35 passes for just 172 yards, and Bab Means, Foster Morrow and Alvin Kamara each had six catches.
On the other end, Williams rushed for 88 yards on 14 carries, two of which were scores. Bo Nix was also effective on the ground, running 10 times for 75 yards.
The game was Sean Payton's first game in New Orleans since he left the city after the 2021 season. He coached New Orleans for 16 years, going 152-89 and winning Super Bowl XLIV.
