Whether your friend or enemy, the flyer may not know who you can trust when it comes to stealing a ship on an airplane.
One passenger heading from Chicago to New York City took him to Reddit to share the story of the “seat steeler.”
On the forum “R/Delta”, users said they went to an Irish bar at Chicago Midway International Airport for drinks and started chatting with fellow patrons.

Texas-based Brandon Blewett told Fox News Digital, author of the book How to Avoid Strangers on Airplanes, that more and more people are encountering squatters in plane seats.
“Let the flight attendants handle it. I don't want to go viral on a reel entitled “Passing Meltdown at 30,000 feet,” advised Bruett.

He sat in someone else's seat and said the entire flight could cause confusion.
“[Squatter] In many cases, encounters often lead to delays that cascade, leading to frustrating passengers who miss connections across the cabin,” Bruett added.
