Two Seattle, Washington-area teens accused of tying a younger boy to a tree and “eviscerating” him in a possible gang-related attack earlier this month have been charged as adults.
everett police answered FOX13 reports that in the early morning hours of Dec. 17, officers were called to the area of Olympic Drive and Rainier Drive after a 911 call reported a bloodied teenage boy in the home.
Arriving officers observed “obvious stab wounds” on the 14-year-old victim, the department said. said in news release.
Police said there were no suspects at the scene and they believe the suspect “fled on foot.”
By Dec. 18, two 17-year-old boys who were “acquainted” with the victim were arrested at their respective homes, the statement said.
All three teens are students at Lakewood High School in Arlington, according to FOX13.
Court documents obtained by the outlet revealed more chilling details of the incident, including a possible gang-related setup involving the girl.
Security camera footage from the 911 caller's front door shows a naked, “disemboweled” teen ringing the doorbell while “having difficulty breathing,” the outlet said in a probable cause document. Reported.
The boy's wounds were described as “traumatic” and he had the letter “N” carved into his chest.
The boy told police he was stabbed at nearby Lions Park and that one of the suspects was a member of the Norteños, an organization organized by the city of Everett. I will explain as “a group of Latino street gangs with origins in Northern California.”
According to court documents, the 14-year-old boy told police that he had been in contact with the girl through social media and that they had agreed to meet on the night of Dec. 16.
“After the victim picked him up, he suggested they go to Lions Park to hang out and smoke,” FOX13 reported.
The victim told police that while she was driving the girl to the park, she believed the girl was texting someone to let them know where she was. The documents state that the girl knew that he had previously “entrapped one of his friends and attacked her.”
After arriving at the park, the victim got out of the car and tried to open the driver's side door for the girl, but two people grabbed him and dragged him into a “wooded area,” according to the paper.
“The girl then drove away,” the article reported about the allegations in court documents.
The assailants wore ski masks over their faces, but the victim told police she immediately recognized them before removing her clothes and tying her to a tree at gunpoint.
After stabbing the man, the suspects fled the scene, and the victim escaped on his own and sought help at a nearby home, according to court documents.
He was taken to the hospital and is currently expected To survive. FOX News reported.
The two 17-year-olds, identified by the newspaper as Milo Canales and Hayden Ruthebrink, were later charged as adults with first-degree assault, first-degree robbery and first-degree kidnapping.
Bail for Canales, who was allegedly found wearing the victim's blood-soaked clothes, was set at $1 million.
